How to enable full URL by default in Safari Smart Search Field on Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10

In this tutorial we will bring back the full URL in Safari's Smart Search Field, which wasn't enabled by default in Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10).

Tutorial Summary:

*Enable full URL in URL field by changing Safari's preferences

Introduction:

Currently my URL field looks like this:

It only shows the root domain name, but my link is actually:
https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=6412271237809107002#editor/target=post;postID=2684XXXXXX4741X033X

So, we will make the Search Field show the full url by default:
Just by going to Safari preferences.

Easy Steps:

(with Screenshots)

Firtly, in Safari's menu bar, select "Safari" and click on "Preferences..." from the drop-down menu. Or simply use the key combination "cmd" + ",".

Then, in the pop-up window, select the "Advanced" tab.
Then check the "Show full website adress" box in the Smart Search Field section at the top.

Your settings will take affect immediately and you can enjoy your old desktop-class search bar again.
